Kyle Waterman for Montana Senate
A Montana voice for working families, local solutions, and a stronger future for Kalispell and Senate District 4.
I’m Kyle Waterman.
I was born and raised in Montana, and after time on both the East and West Coasts, I had the chance to move back home nearly 20 years ago. I feel fortunate to live in Kalispell and proud to be part of the Last Best Place. Montana is more than where I’m from; it’s where I’ve built my life, my work, and my commitment to public service.
“Montana should be a place where locals can stay, raise families, and build a future.”
Meet Kyle.
Kyle Waterman believes public service should be grounded in accountability, independence, and common sense. He has worked in civic and nonprofit leadership, served in local government, and focused on practical solutions that help communities function better for everyone.
He brings a local perspective shaped by family, work, and service in the Flathead Valley. His approach is simple: listen carefully, study the issue, and fight for solutions that reflect Montana values and Montana reality.
“I want to be a senator who works for the people of Kalispell and the people of Montana, not for party talking points.”

Kyle’s Priorities
Affordability for working families
Families across Montana are being squeezed by rising costs, and too many people are being pushed out of the communities they love. Kyle supports tax reform that keeps property taxes fair for seniors and working families while also asking tourists, large online retailers, and the wealthiest Montanans to pay their fair share.
He also supports stronger investments in affordable childcare and public transportation, because those are practical tools that help working parents, seniors, and people with transportation barriers stay independent and stay in their communities.
Strong local healthcare and mental health care
Montana needs better access to mental health services, especially in rural communities where families often have nowhere to turn in a crisis. Kyle supports investing in local mental health centers, workforce development, and community-based care so people can get help earlier and closer to home.
He believes local solutions save families money, reduce strain on emergency systems, and strengthen the whole healthcare network.
Infrastructure that keeps up with growth
Growth brings opportunity, but it also brings pressure on water systems, roads, fire services, and wastewater infrastructure. Kyle supports regional septage system investments and clear standards before communities face environmental or public health disasters.
He believes Montana should plan ahead instead of waiting for problems to become crises.
Personal freedom and local control
Kyle believes the government should stay out of your personal life, your home, and your work. That includes protecting reproductive freedom, LGBTQ rights, the right to organize and bargain collectively, and access to quality public education, libraries, and healthcare close to home.
He also believes freedom means letting Montanans make their own choices about their bodies, families, and futures.
Public safety that works
Public safety should be swift, fair, and consistent. Kyle supports stronger regional fire coordination, robust 911 centers, and better support for first responders so communities can respond quickly and efficiently as they grow.
He also believes law enforcement and emergency systems should be backed by resources that make them more effective, not stretched beyond their limits.
